How do I take measurements?
Use a tape measure to determine your child's girth, chest, hips, and waist measurements, then refer to the sizing chart. Sizes are NOT based on age.
Girth
To measure girth, place the end of a tape measure on the center of child's right shoulder.
Run the tape measure loosely down front, between legs and up back to right shoulder.
Chest
With child's arms down, slip tape under arms and across chest and shoulder blades, holding tape firm and level.
Waist
Measure around the natural waistline.
Hips
With child standing, measure around fullest point of the hips.
One of the measurements is listed for a different size. What should I order?
If one of your child's measurements for girth, chest, waist, or hips exceeds the recommended range in any area, you should order based on the largest measurement. When in doubt, size up.
Are sizes based on age?
No. Sizes are not based on age!

We love these leotards! So comfortable and affordable. My daughter is a figure skater and she was competing to a Scooby Doo song- so we made a Daphne costume with the leotard/ skirt! It worked out perfect.
My daughter loved picking out her favorite color out of the wide variety offered. We measured and she fell into three different sizes based on the size chart, so we went with the largest size. There is a little room to grow in the length, but it doesn't look too big at all, so we'll definitely get a few months of wear out of it! The quality is great, material feels nice, and we got several compliments. USA made is a high priority when I shop for clothing, so I was glad to find Leotard Boutique and would absolutely recommend to anyone!
The leotard is such a nice fit for my daughter. I had to take off one star because she’s 2 and to not have an option for snaps during diaper/potty training is difficult. I didn’t realize that before purchasing.
Nice material, fits comfortably on my 4 year old. Also washed nicely.
Will buy again in more colors!
I love these leotards. They are a 4 season staple. We have them in every color to wear as separates, under jumpers, with skirts, and with pants. My daughter always looks adorable in her long sleeve ruffle leos :heart:️
