Halloween: It All Starts with a Leotard

Buzz. Hooray for pollinators and hooray for simple DIY costumes!
@hairtodream created this costume using black duct tape for the bee stripes. (She recommends putting the leotard on your daughter before lining up and affixing the duct tape.)
She used yellow tulle to create the bee wings by folding a 12” piece about three times (to measure out three even pieces). Next, she cut the fabric into three strips following the fold lines. She placed the three pieces of tulle in a pile, one on top of the other, and twisted a black pipe cleaner around the center of the fabric to create wings. She attached the wings to the back of her daughter's leotard with a safety pin.
She scored the bee headband from Target’s dollar section and used some of her own eyeliner to make the cute-as-a-button bee nose.
